My name is Chris Valk and I am originally from New York. I moved south in 1996 to get a new start and to go back to school. I attended Kings College in Charlotte, NC and received my Diploma in Graphic Design in 1997. Kings College is a Technical School where you spend most of you day in the field of study. I attended 5 days a week 6 hours a day for a year. Upon Graduating from Kings I got a job working at Jefferson Pilot Communications. I started working at Jefferson Pilot Communications Company in November of 1997. Upon my arrival I took over the duties of upkeeping 2 sites; www.wbtv.com and www.jpc.com. These were my main points of focus while employed at JPCC. As the years went by I acquired new responsibilities. The COmpany attempted at an employment site called Click Carolina but due to circumstances it failed. The Company also Implemented a Corporate Intranet site called The CoPilot. The Copilot was used as a point for employees to search the Employee Manual or examine the company Policies and Procedures. As time went on the site grew. I also assisted in the design of 2 of our radio sites in Denver, Co. I love doing Graphics work and have been making it my hobby/job since high school and I do freelance on the side Thanks for taking the time to check out my site!
